Research Experience:

Hong Ki An received a PhD from University of South Australia, and is a current assistant professor at Huaiyin Institute of Technology in China. He received a bachelor degree of urban/traffic engineering from Dae-Jin University in Korea, and studied transportation engineering at Polytech Institute of New York University. Then he worked at the Korea Transport Institute where he was involved in public transport planning, preliminary feasibility planning and metropolitan transport implementation planning. He conducted researches in the determining the optimum detector locations at metering roundabouts using the queuing length estimation models as his PhD topic. His has further interests in traffic modeling, public transport systems, traffic management and public transport systems.

He is a member of Korea Planners Association (KPA), Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE), Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS), Professional Engineer of the institute of Engineering Australia (EA) and the Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management Incorporated (AITPM).
